Our founder, Blonde Beauchamp was inspired to launch thisHAITI [formerly The Craic & Blonde] while living in Ireland, where she cooked her favorite Haitian dishes for Irish friends who surprised her with overwhelming encouragement and increased appetites! She knew from there that she must share her love and passion for her culture by handcrafting products for people to not only enjoy, but also surely experience a taste of Haiti.

PIKLIZ

RELISH HOT SAUCE

Pikliz, pronounced PICK-leez, is the most popular condiment and cultural symbol of Haiti! Traditionally, every Haitian home makes its own batch and keeps a jar on the table to be enjoyed with all savory meals. Americans who have ever enjoyed an authentic Haitian meal will recognize pikliz as the spicy slaw served along with meals.

plaintain chips

SALTY + CRISPY

Plantain chips are abundantly available along the main streets in Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital. Street vendors cheerfully offer you a bag of chips while another follows behind with a refreshing bottle of water. This is our favorite snack combo - but we like to kick it up a notch, adding a guacomole dip to be enjoyed with our chips.

dry spice blend

SPICY + SAVORY

The Haitian cuisine is quite robust in flavor, but also well-balanced. Like many cultures, the traditional Haitian cooking process is ritualistically time-consuming! Ain't nobody got time for that! Hence, we are very proud of our dry spice blend that helps cut through the layers of techniques while maintaining beautiful flavors full of tradition and boldness.
